90% might be low, considering the average length of stay is less than 5 days (published fact)
Craig *******
Why would they extend it? The intent was to boost tourism and I doubt there was any real impact. People who want to stay longer term have plenty of options, the 45 day VE was a nice convenience for them but I doubt it made a difference in tourism $$. Also they are on track to be fully recovered covid by 2024.

It's a nothing burger .....90% who enter stay for less than 30 days. Of the other 10%, probably half have visas

well I wonder if they would accept just a proposed booking - like a screen shot of the flights just before you press "purchase". Or you could upload a doc that just says, "my intended flights are as follows". But don't if they would accept.

I think so, I think it asked to upload the flight booking, but not sure if flights need to be booked

I had my flights booked, not sure if I needed to though

Canada is slow. Embassy website says 20 business days, mine took 6 weeks.

ya I had no checked luggage, but even if you do it's a good idea to check-in on line because the bag drop line is usually much quicker than full check-in. It also eliminates being questioned about POOT.

Do online check-in.....you then go straight to security when you arrive at the airport. I flew Bkk-Lpq recently and the check-in line was massive. I saved at least an hour by checking in online
Craig *******
If you do on-line check-in then 2 hrs is plenty.
