Well got a price of 25k at another hospital....and that is for plastic surgeon who I don't really need cause don't care about the scar.

thanks that's more like it. Mine is the size of a grape, on my rib cage. My Toronto DR told me it should be easy to remove because he could "get underneath it", meaning it's not fused to the tissue. I also don't care about the scare so no need for expensive plastic surgeon. I think 45k is more of a tourist price. Yes will look for smaller clinics with low overhead

you might be right....I googled and found forum posts with costs as low as 10-15k, but most were 8-10 years ago. On the other hand it's a 30 minute out patient procedure, so thought maybe there are small surgery clinics that may be cheaper than hospitals

my GFs job pays 20k CAD in Thailand. With that she can afford nice condo, plus rental property, plus car, plus she saves every month. In Canada same job would pay 60-70k and she could only afford to rent lousy apartment, no car, and live pay cheque to pay cheque. But yes if you have 400thb per day job in Thailand, you are better off in Canada.

Canadian immigration is living in the past. The gap between Canada and Thailand has narrowed considerably. If you have a good job in Thailand there is no economic benefit to moving to Canada. You might get paid 3-4 times your Thai salary, but after taxes and much higher cost of living, you'll be worse off.

Yup mine took 4 weeks and didn't get it on time, had to go exempt. Used to be 48 hr turnaround. So much for e-visa.

My Thai GF got CDN tourist visa. Wasn't easy though, took two tries. I was pissed at the first rejection and wrote a scathing letter to my MP. To his credit he wrote a reference letter which may have helped. Absolute joke though when you consider how open our borders are.

no you would simply be refunded what was charged to your CC. I don't think the OP is talking about a claim, he is complaining that he hasn't received policy paperwork (I think)
Craig *******
I would just go the chargeback route with CC company. You paid for a service that you didn't receive, easy claim.

when I went through he literally took 30 seconds to rotate the dials on all his stamps before asking for my passport. My visa didn't get processed in time and my stay was one day too long for entering exempt. By letting one guy go ahead of me I shortened my stay by a day and avoided the over-stay issue.
