on TR, staying in BKK. Will be going to CM for 3 days mid Feb. The BKk imm office is very inconvenient for me, basically I waste a day, so thinking I could extend in CM?
yes but anyone who wants to overstay just has to buy a return ticket (cost is not much more than one way), then they don't use it. A holder of a one way ticket likely indicates someone of higher means who chooses flexibility over saving money. For me, 1 way = 1000, return = 1200
I wonder why they bother? Do they actually get a lot ppl who arrive in Thailand but then run out of money?? And what does 20k THB prove? Same as a return ticket - it proves nothing since there is no guarantee you'll actually board your flight.
