My TR60 Tourist visa expires 1/26. How early can I go to immigration to get my 30 day extension? And what are the chances it gets rejected?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A TR60 Tourist visa can be extended at an immigration office starting 30 days before the expiration date in most areas, while in Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai, you can apply up to 45 days in advance. The approval for a 30-day extension is generally straightforward, and rejections are rare. When extending, make sure to have necessary documentation, such as proof of address registration (TM30) related to your accommodation.

Like others I’ve never ever heard of a tourist visa extension not being allowed (perhaps it has for some exceptional reason). Because they add the days to your existing stamp there is no downside to going early.
Here’s what’s needed to extend in Phuket. Your local office may differ slightly.
Think the 30 day TR extensions are pretty straight forward and more of a formality per my understanding

Most immigration offices you can apply for an extension 30 days before your stay expires, Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai is 45 days. The extension is added to your expiration date, doesn't matter when you go.
45 days before your visa expires or 45 days after you arrive? I'm arriving

on TR, staying in BKK. Will be going to CM for 3 days mid Feb. The BKk imm office is very inconvenient for me, basically I waste a day, so thinking I could extend in CM?
