yes I know, when covid first hit people couldn't travel, but that hasn't been the case for more than a year. It's just a visa extension, so why not just call it that.
just for clarification, I wasn't suggesting the post was silly, moreso the policy. Just don't know why they have to pretend that people are unable to travel. Similar to the silly 30 day extension (why not just offer a 90 day visa?).
I have an email from the Thai Ottawa embassy confirming that the return date doesn't matter. So will show it to flight check-in staff if necessary. My flight is booked for exactly 90 days.
did you have a one way ticket? Did you have TR or were you entering visa exempt? There is always a risk with airlines, but if faced with that I would simply ask them to sell me a fully refundable ticket out.
Also if the airline were to deny you boarding, you simply buy a fully refundable ticket right on the spot, and cancel once you pass through thai immigration
