I opened my first bank account, 20 years ago with 30-days visa exemption, from the first bank I walked into. I'm pretty sure that the "advice" given millions of times since that and to this date remains still the same. Visit as many banks as it takes, until you get the account opened. If someone got account opened somewhere, it does not mean that the next one will be successful in that same branch. I had one account, that hadn't been used for years. I went to the exact same place, where the account was opened before to ask if it can still be revoked. Wasn't possible to revoke and for opening a new account, the work permit was now required. No problem. I went to another bank and got new account opened.
Is there any explanation on why they do not "like" to do combined, since it's fully valid method? Cannot imagine how it could be in any way harder for immigration to process vs. other two options.
I can get the affidavid from my embassy and talked with KK immigration about combined method. Their answer was: "it's handeled case by case". 😄 When I continued saying, that it should simply be yes or no, they stopped replying.
Does that mean, if one has affidavid from embassy for income, one doesn't need to show how much is transferred to thai bank account, monthly? It is calculated by the amount shown in affidavid?
It's rediculous, that there are insurance companies that shouldn't require this joke document. And when one asks for it, they won't provide it. Easier to get Non-O, without insurance and afterwards get insured by one's own means. And also the deal is better..
