Depends on where she gets her visa, in Bangkok It isn't "full-time" or "part-time" anymore it's based on visa length. 3-6 month study time is a minimum of 2 days a week 3 hours per day. 6-12 month visa is 5 days per week 3 hours per day.
They are coming down hard on ED visas because of the continued abuse. Immigration does random visits to the school and I've even heard of cases where they have turned up several times in one week.
yeah, this is a new one on me too... I'm willing to bet it has something to do with farangs finally being held accountable for their atrocious behaviour when certain ones finally show their true colours. I've seen a few arsehats state it's "unfair" and "borderline discriminatory" 🙄
took a friend there three weeks ago. Last time I was there and this time I noticed some people were being asked for a TM.30 receipt and others weren't, so I decided to ask why some were, and some weren't; the immigration officer stated that if someone is staying in a hotel, they ask for the receipt because, over the last year, there have been too many incidents where a TM.30 hasn't been filed.
Just go to Laksi IT Square and pick up the TM.7, STM.2 and acknowledgement of fines forms and fill them in, stick a passport photo of yourself to the TM.7 and put a phone number at the bottom, get a photocopy of your passport bio page and your entry stamp and give it to the immigration officer at desk 1. If you're staying in a hotel make sure you bring a copy of your TM.30 receipt, if you're staying in a condo you don't need a copy but make sure it has been filed.
Yes I am aware, because you are not married you have an additional requirement to meet, you have to obtain papers to prove you are the father which requires signed court documents as well as the 400k financial requirement. Unfortunately you cannot do it yourself and a lawyer must draw up the paperwork for you and submit it on your behalf, there is no way around this.
