Correct the 20,000 baht requirement is tourist visa requirements - non-o visa you have already displayed financial security in the application for visa alone - but it doesnt hurt to habe cash on hand anyway

Immigration has record of your stamp when you come in you can get a certificate for emergency travel due to lost passport but I would wait for your passport - once you get your passport goto immigration with your dtv letter and they will have record of your recent stamp - this is also why its a good idea to keep a photo copy of your visa and current stamp on yoir email or a storage app like google drive or drop box so you can access your passport on any device. You can choose to leave and come back with your new passport if you want but once you get a new book immigration will have record of it and you can just get the same stamp in new book choice is yours

no on both accounts, thats the funny thing DTV holders can be in the country more than 180 days in a calendar year but they will not be able to apply for tax ID and cant get a bank account. If the new rules go into affect with foreign income for tax - it will be interesting to see how they track ATM withdraws and assess income for DTV holders or anyone they restrict from a bank account

You may want to use the airport fly out for a few days come back based on other posts I seen here with DTV if you must use land crossings it isnt advised but dont do it the same day - why they advise not same day is a precaution im assuming.
