TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the experiences of individuals who have done border runs while on a DTV visa in Thailand. It highlights the possibility of doing a border run independently, as well as the advantages of using an agent for more security and ease. Comments indicate that using the Laos border is manageable, with one participant noting a successful recent border run at Laos Friendship Bridge IV. However, there are recommendations against doing land crossings the same day as entering and exiting, suggesting that flying out may be a safer alternative.
I’ll be heading to the Laos border bounce with a driver/agent to escort me into Laos and back into Thailand. The Laos land border at Chiang Khong and Chiang Saen are pretty chill, but just based on recent immigration news, I use an agent.
You may want to use the airport fly out for a few days come back based on other posts I seen here with DTV if you must use land crossings it isnt advised but dont do it the same day - why they advise not same day is a precaution im assuming.
