If you are looking for a way to pull money outside atm or WU
Krungsri bank 200 baht fee off your US Debit and at rate for market. Bring passport quick and easy no ATM fee or foreign atm fee
** Edit just to clarify for the troll of the group Stewart Stuart Cumming a moderator they will only do this if you are wanting to pull over 60000 baht otherwise they will tell you to use ATM.
Sorry I assumed he would have common sense that if you were pulling lower amounts they would tell you to use ATM .. seems I forgot the nature of trolls on the net

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around withdrawing cash from Krungsri Bank in Thailand without incurring ATM fees. A commenter mentions a 200 baht fee for withdrawing over 60,000 baht using a U.S. debit card at the bank, advising to bring a passport. Various opinions are expressed, with some users suggesting alternatives like a Charles Schwab account that refunds ATM fees, while others critique the initial post for lacking clarity. The conversation highlights differing withdrawal options and experiences among expats, along with a mix of supportive and critical responses.
doubled down on information I put out about the IDP only being honored for 90 day stay past that you have to get a license or they will hold you as having no license showed proof after he went full retard so since then he has been questioning me on everything. Typical troll behavior
To answer your question they have a POS machine at the counter where they place your debit card into as a purchase and hand you the money.
They make a photo copy of your physical pass port you sign that and another form they give you explaining the break down rate and fee then hand you money.
Keep in mind if you use a major credit card it may use cash back feature see your credit card for terms
Assuming that I or others reading your original post would understand what you mean makes you look the fool.
With many visa (or other) questions on here we have to explain that the more info we have the better we can help.
Your initial post read that if you want to get cash out use Krungsri and get it out for 200 baht using a passport and you wonāt get charged an atm fee. The fact that you used the term āmarket rateā would mean very little to anyone, and would probably be very close to what the bank interbank rate would be anyway. For small amounts the difference if any would be minimal.
At no point did you infer that this is for transactions over a certain amount. Thereās no way you could assume anyone could ever think that you meant only for transactions over a certain amount, yet because of the comments you edit your post (4 times or so) to imply that I *should* have known what you meant.
Iām not in the crystal ball game. Mine broke years ago. I answer with facts, knowledge and more often than not with respect.
Where that falls apart is with arseholes like you who try to discredit anyone who doesnāt hold the same high opinion of you as you do. Then I tend not to hold back and give them shit.
You are correct. I am a moderator of this page. I help people with visa questions (or other aspects about things in Thailand).
Iām not sure that others will agree with your label of troll of the group but you are entitled to your opinion.

If u have a Charles Schwab account there isnāt any international transaction fees and all ATM charges are refunded at end of month. And a ATM withdrawal comes at the posted āTT Rateā which is very close to the SuperRich Headquarter rate which is really good.
You clearly have no true understanding of the concepts you are discussing. You consistently refer to market rate and seem to conflate that with mid market rate - suggesting you have little understanding of the true concepts behind FX.
Further, your constant attempts to suggest your own financial prowess over others - is far more likely to be hidden insecurity than actual truth.
If you had the knowledge you claim, you would easily counter arguements and points raised. You, however, prefer not only posturing but attempts at ill informed personal attacks.
You are misguided in ways that escape your comprehension.
well said. To boot the guys nothing but a rude and insulting small man. The coward even does not accept private messages from anybody. It's pretty obvious where his support lies in his attitude and words.
yeah there is again Stuart. I've seen other posts by this idiot on other topics and his attitude and comments are the same all the time. He has absolutely nothing of use to say and is more interested in rude judgmental comments to people that are seeking information as well as people that are contributing valuable information such as yourself. But one look at the guys profile says it all he fits the profile of the political party he supports. Just another aggressive bully following manipulative Criminal Who is from the bottom of the barrel of depraved in difference to any one or anything other than himself. Thank you for your long-term support in this group and your calm explanation in assisting people in need.š

Try different branch. There were no official limit of 60k last time I did it.
And that used to work only for MasterCard.

I really enjoy reading feisty comments between tourists about how to withdraw money the cheapest way in Thailand. That's why I love my KBank (or Bangkok Bank) card. No fees whatsoever. š
yea I have same advantage in philippines with free banking there. In Thailand the nice helpful agents offered to relieve me of 50-60k baht to open an account and get a one year visa extension. I told them they can stick the offer where the sun don't shine! I'll carry on with XE or free cash advances. I will not succumb to organised blackmail.
yes this is for people like me who's visa is restricted from bank accounts due to changes. DTV are barred from opening accounts now and student visa not in university. I'm too young for the retirement visa yet i qualify by income and savings so that is why I posted this.
I forgot to clarify for the trolls including a moderator they will only do this if you are wanting to pull over
Bangkok has a less amount for taking out over the counter according to my tourist friends. What you save in the ąøæ250 atm fee is eaten up in the poor exchange rate in BANKS here. Apparently WU allows for sending directly to a post office. Unsure whether Wise has a similar service.
Iāve taken out much less every week at their branch in Hua Hin. They never charge me any fee at all and I get a good rate. It may depend on the particular branch.
I never use atmās now and always do this.

Thatās an amazing way to save $1.50 and limiting yourself to one bank (possibly only select branches) and only being able to get cash when the banks are open. Thank you for sharing.
If you want to save $7.50 and no limit to time or bank being used get a Charles Schwab account and use an ATM. Theyāll refund the ATM fee. Thank me later.
yea the CS account is great for US citizens. Not available to others. XE app is still excellent value. High withdrawal amounts for only $4. Literally can get 150,000baht for $4
I tried XE and I switched to remitly has a much better exchange rate and quicker transfers with various options ATM cards Visa cards and account to account transfers which are the best right now. I also tried wise and found remitly to have even better rates amounts and limits also.
just did a dummy run comparison £1000 by cash pick-up into Thai Baht. You are categorically WRONG and my XE habit remains a good one. Granted Remitly fee was £1 less than XE but the Baht payout 930baht LESS. Go figure Mr Remitly. Don't make recommendations you've not thoroughly checked out.
if there's any difference in exchange rate it is extremely close and xe is just as likely to be cheaper. Believe me I don't start a "habit" unless I'm convinced it's offering better value. The thing you didn't mention is "cash pick-up " and that's the big advantage of xe to those who've not succumb to the pressure through the visa system to pay 50k to open a bank account etc. Does Remitly offer cash pick-up in Thailand?
listen soft lad. Download XE app. Create an account. Send money to yourself by "cash pick-up" method $4 or £3 (120 baht) . A piece of piss. No ATM fees and no limit on transfer amount. I can use my uk debit card for free cash advance but daily limit 20k.
Bangkok Bank is the same way. My Branch is in Phichit there is no fee to withdraw money inside the bank of your own Branch. If I go to Bangkok and try to withdraw a large amount from inside the bank, there is a fee also I think itās somewhere in the neighborhood of ąøæ200.
again its not the fee notice where I said MARKET RATE. You do know when you pull from ATM even with out conversion you are not getting market rate.
So when you pull 100k baht being at market rate is kinda helpful, you just mad cause you cant afford to pull 100k baht and still have money left over in the bank. Thats a you issue
Ill say this again i dont see how you are a moderator I stand by my previous observations on you.
I'm assuming you are not a regular, on the various Thailand visa advice pages, because otherwise you would be aware, that Stuart Cumming is certainly not a troll, and regularly helps people, with visa and Thailand related advice.
no i gave him time and didnt make any opinion of him till about a month being here, honestly every comment he has ever made to me since I proved him wrong with IDP in thailand he has been out trolling me.
wasn't simply to prove him wrong I was answering another person's question and he kept insisting im wrong and I'm not.
Since then he has been nothing but a troll and when he comments on me now I show him no resoect for the simple fact hes wrong and he doubles down on being wrong.
For example in this post I was giving info to people who cant get a bank account in the same situation im in and not here as a tourist, how to withdraw funds in excess of atm limits and not get raped by fees... he decided to make a show and I put him to shame cause he lacks common sense and just trolls for the hell of it.
Holds a grudge when he doesnt need to he was wrong on something move on but he cant admit he was wrong and showing evidence he isnt here in thailand at all only operating off information on-line which is vague at best
Stuart is a volunteer in an immigration office in Thailand, others seem to confirm that, and as far as I'm aware, and has lived in Thailand for years, and through what I have seen, he usually gives good advice, I haven't read all the comments, between yourself and Stuart, so can't give an opinion on who is right or wrong, it sounds like you and him have had a clash of personalities, if you don't agree with his advice, just scroll on as they say.
I love your assumption that I canāt afford to pull out 100k. You know nothing about me. I donāt want you knowing anything about me either. Youāre clearly a moron wanting to stir up shit.
it's always the immature idiots who think they can attack others who they know nothing about by accusing them of being poor, ugly, old, etc. when you dare to disagree with them. I had one guy recently think he was actually pushing my buttons by automatically resorting to attacking me as a retired poor old white man who had to pay for women, when I am actually a gay Asian middle aged succesful businessman in a 15 year monogamous relationship. You gotta laugh at how pitiful some people are. I don't understand why you haven't banned this idiot yet for his personal attacks?
Your average US citizen here is probably pulling out 600-900 USD from an ATM. Without a CS account they get charged $7.50.
Doing the same using your method costs them $6
Not sure thereās too many thatāll be wanting to pull out 100k baht per time but what would the saving be over the ATM rate (assuming they donāt opt for the ridiculous instant conversion option) versus MARKET RATE. The price of a few beers?
beleive it or now there are more people who are in the situation im in due to changes in policy with banks clearly you fall below average retired americans in Thailand
you obviously dont understand when 1.50$ being taken off the exchange matters.
I deal with amount of money where .50 change in exchange makes difference of few hundred dollars
Example KBank allows 30,000 limit. I would have to do that 3 times then a 10,000 baht pull. ATM fee alone 250 baht x3 then bank fee for international atm x3 even selecting "with out conversion is .50 less then market.
I got 100k baht AT MARKET of 32.80 and only 200 fee
Go sit down you are not on this level clearly as you said in your comment its not needed.
As I said. Get a CS account. Save yourself the $22. Iām not sure what your āinternational atmā fee are but my guess is that it may be bank charges that your bank levies for using an international ATM above and beyond the spread they would use for the interbank rate for converting the money. Sounds like you need a new bank.
