I hear mixed opinions. How many months are required to have the 500k baht minimum balance. I have heard 3-6. I have also heard minimum of the 1 month of last atatement.
What is your experience and understanding?

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is confusion regarding how long one must maintain a minimum balance of 500,000 baht in a bank statement for visa applications in Thailand. The consensus indicates a requirement of 3 to 6 months, although some have reported successfully applying with shorter durations, even as little as one day. However, enforcement of these requirements varies by embassy, so it's essential to check the specific rules of the embassy related to your application.
FunAvocado8116 saw recent approvals on this page from Hanoi with 500k as end balance only. NOT 3 months

Some get away with having it for one day. Some need 3 months. 3 months is the requirement, but depending on whoever reads your application it's not always enforced.
Worst case stay 90 days with the money and travel outside and apply.
If you got the money from a friend only to show and then give it back to him, then stay home

You hear mixed information, because there are mixed policies. Each consulate can decide their own rules for this. And so they do. Once you decide where you are applying, reach out to that consulated and ask the very specific questions.

Technically you need to have those funds in your account for 3 to 6 months. Some are getting away with much shorter time periods. Be prepared for that to end as things are tightened up in the coming year.
I dont need to apply lived here since 1978. I am not mistaking Ai for consular policy after helping numerous people abtain DTV and seeing some refused because they have not met that requirenent
you are not helping anyone. And your useless Ai endeavour is inaccurate. You ARE in fact mistaking Ai for consular policy. Smarten up

As the other poster said - Embassy dependent. Why not state where you are applying and ask what their requirements are? It helps people to help you and you get a better answer.
