Hello, I have question to current DTV holders. Retirement Visa holders should report re-entry and pay re-entry fee when leave Thailand, otherwise the visa will be lost. The DTV holders also should report re-entry(and pay re-entry fee)?

Any suggestions on what bank to go with under the DTV? Do you get a bank card instantly? (I’m only in khon kaen for 1-2 days).

Right now I’m in isan but I’ll probably eventually move to Pattaya. Should I wait and open the account in Pattaya or just do it today in isan?

Hello, I was just granted approval for my dtv visa under soft power Muay Thai via Wildcat gym in Chiang Mai. I applied at the Hanoi embassy on Sunday March 30th and was granted approval 4 working days later. Meaw at Wildcat gym was extremely helpful in getting papers organized for submission and answering any questions I had along the way. I had attended Muay Thai classes at her gym prior to asking to get the visa and it’s a really solid gym with great trainers and fun atmosphere! If anyone is looking at going the Muay Thai route with their dtv visa then Wildcat is a great place to look into!

Looking for some advice. I plan to apply for a DTV from the UK, as I plan to go to Thailand in late September 2025.

Timing wise, from when should I be applying for a DTV?

Assuming the DTV is approved, is it correct that I need to go to Thailand within 90 days of the approval?

Thanks in advance.

Hello, do people who applied for the DTV through soft power have to, for example, practice Muyai Thai for 5 years?

After coming in and out of Thailand for over a year I via tourist visa, just got stopped and pulled at dmk immigration and questioned that it's illegal to use a "free visa" for longer term (I corrected them and said exempted). Now they won't let me in again with this visa type anymore. It seemed they just started doing questioning more and more people. I will need to get a different visa type going forward in order to continue my stable relationship with my Thai gf. The pressure and intensity of authority they are going with is really. It felt to me like they are trying to find things to pressure people to do dtv or Similiar.

Hi guys,

I have been on a retirement visa for 4 years then a marriage visa for 3 years,

I then got the 60 day visiting family,

I now have to leave and come back to get the 60 day visa exempt,

I'm in khonkean, would going out at Nong khai and coming back through the same route be my best option?
