Yes, you can use your phone's Wi-Fi hotspot to watch TV channels in Thailand. Many users report successful streaming using their phones, provided their mobile data plan supports tethering and has sufficient speed. Some cautions include checking for speed throttling after a certain data usage, and ensuring your device is capable of handling long streaming sessions. Some alternatives mentioned include using dedicated routers with a Thai SIM and internet package for better performance.
have you the Netflix app on your phone? If so and you have a smart TV you will be able to stream directly to your TV from your phone. You probably need a vpn.
Also your smart TV may have Netflix installed too like mine.
Other apps like cinema hd beta apk and teatv apk have a the movies and shows that Netflix has and these are free. Send me a movie and/or a show and I can attach a scr shot or 2.

Get a "Google Chromecast " (or similar device "Firestick" ect if you think Google is a bit pricey) - can download the True app for Thai TV and any other TV apps for your home country then need to download and suscribe to a VPN (i use Nord VPN) - has a HDMI out and plugs into most TV's - can use your phone as a hot spot. Brought mine on Lazada - just do a search.

I use my hotspot in UK for laptop and Firestick, both at same time. FS buffers but a quick up n down on the remote usually solves it. If not, go to settings on home page and restart
Mine usually buffers a bit when I first turn it on and then settles down. Sometimes have to unplug from the wall to reset but not often
In Thailand I buy a sim with unlimited data for around 5-600 baht

I had a 12 month dtac SIM that was unlimited at 30mbps and was fine for it. Got from Lazada. Not sure if still available. Only cost about 1500 baht

You must be careful when charging your phone in Thailand, because they don't use the same power output, and it basically drains the battery. So i found out, back in November. So if you have an older phone. I suggest you take that one instead. ๐๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐ฌ๐ง

Maybe just consider taking true move or 3bb or AIS with a settopbox and wired connection if you have the option. It's maybe 700 baht a month for internet. I think we use AIS. It has channels on the AiS app and Netflix and YouTube and you can install more apps like cinema Hq or Kodi for movies and channels

Keep in mind that even if your phone contract says unlimited internet doesnโt mean that they donโt reduce the speed significantly after you used a certain amount of data. If you download too much, your internet will only be good enough to do emails and texts. Thatโs how they donโt lie about unlimited data. Just not unlimited speed ๐
Yes, but I found my iPhone was getting pretty hot if I used it continuously so I bought a GSM router for about 5000baht from Banana and another SIM from AIS.

Do you need the TV subscription or are you already sorted?
