We were referring to the 60 day covid extension, as this comment was originally on a post talking about these extensions.

Yes it is true, and your luck of the draw will also depend on which immigration you apply for it at.

We ensure ahead of time that it is possible for our clients before accepting the case.

Our fee for the described situation is 6,000 THB, and it already includes the 1,900 THB government fee as well as document courier pickup/drop off in Bangkok from your condo/hotel ( all of our in-country services are 100% refundable if not successfully obtained ).

You will receive a full 60 day extension without an under consideration stamp, but please keep in mind that currently the last day to apply for these type of extensions is August 24th, and we may not accept the case if you request too close to that deadline (unless they extend it again).

You can reach our team via LINE here:

We can assist with a 60 day extension first (without the 30 day extension).

If you apply on your own without the 30 day extension on a tourist visa or exempt entry stamp it will be up to the officers discretion if they wish to allow it or apply a 30 day only extension.

This is not entirely correct as some countries do issue passports with the letter O.

But a german passport does not contain the letter O, and can be safely assumed to be a 0.

This is bad software because in most cases this should fail.

MRZ codes include a checksum, so a 0O error should be avoidable in most cases (the OCR should know it failed).

Not sure why they didn't just opt-out of using 0O all together in your passport number issuance if they must use alphanumeric instead of fully numeric 😓. Many people make this mistake everyday, but passport numbers last 5-10 years. So it's best figuring out beforehand what your passport number really is if you have a O0, and hold a passport from a country which is using alphanumeric passport numbers.

Also note germany also uses D as their nationality, which is non-standard for the ISO-3166 spec which should be used (DEU).

If you are really unsure about your passport, you can always download a passport reading app which will process, and validate the MRZ code.

That being said most passport number formats do not include alpha characters in them, or only start with them. However germany is one of the exceptions, and mixes them in randomly. Specifically for the dutch passports numbers they will never contain a letter O, it's a 0.

Did you have an under consideration stamp?

It's up to each immigration on how they wish to handle this, not all enforce things the same.

If you are in Bangkok for standard cases we offer full service 60 day covid visa extensions for 6,000 THB (this means our team will pickup your documents, obtain your extension, and then deliver your passport with the extension to your residence).

If anyone needs this type of service you can message our team via line (please note the last day is July 25th).

@Barnaby ******
In the past they required documents that may be required to be certified by your local embassy (which is not possible for all nationalities).

As for proving pension as long as the money is coming into thailand you would use your bank statements (similar to how some of the existing retirement visa options function).

A lot is still unknown, so we will have to wait, and see exactly what they will require as this visa will be going through the BOI, not only immigration/consulate like the NON-O, OX, OA.

@Mike ******
We assist with situations like you have mentioned.

As for the LTR visa we are only relaying the current requirement's, and will be assisting the 1% that meet those requirements as long as nothing drastic changes between now, and september 1st.

Many remote workers in Thailand do not pay income tax to Thailand (including Elite Visa holders).

We are still waiting for final clarification from the BOI to determine if the 17% tax will be applied to the income used to meet these requirements. If that is a requirement then the Elite Visa will remain a very popular option for remote workers.
