Only applies from date you go into immigration so useless unless your visa is running out.

Our clients obtained extensions from the date of expiration (not the date of application), if they had a previous covid visa extension.

true you have to get the 30 day extension first. That’s been the rule for a fair time now.

We have not heard of any word about the extension deadline being extended another round.

So if your visa expires soon apply ASAP, or prepare for alternative options to prolong your stay.
