What should I do about spam posts labeling my visa agency as a scam in Facebook groups?

Oct 17, 2025
a day ago
We've received multiple reports over the past few months about spam posts in several Facebook groups where our ads were taken, crossed out, and labeled as "scam".

After some investigation, we traced the source to a visa agency in Phuket. They have even printed out our advertisements, crossed them out, and pinned them on their office wall, apparently to discourage their customers from switching to us. They have also created fake facebook accounts, and regularly spam dozens of groups.

This post is to raise awareness about the ongoing spam and harassment.

If you come across any of these fake posts which cross out our advertisement and label them a scam, please report them on facebook, or leave a comment to help set the record straight.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post raises awareness about a visa agency in Phuket that has been spreading false information by creating fake Facebook posts that label the original advertisements of a legitimate company as scams. The author encourages the community to report these posts and provide support in correcting the misinformation. Additionally, other comments address the poor English used in the fake posts and inquire about visa entry fees.

Have you spoken to the police?
Stanley *****
Since your name is Thai Visa Centre, may I know has the 300 baht or other amount per entry been enforced? How much is it if I enter by land from Myanmar, Cambodia or Malaysia?

No, the TDAC is free.

But we do offer a service for $8 that does allow you to submit outside of the 72 hour window, normally if you apply within 72 hours of arrival its free.

From what we understand, the additional fees are now being incorporated into additional fees that are bundled into flight prices instead.

We haven't heard any further updates regarding the 300 THB fee. There were early rumors that it would be included as part of the ETA, but that never materialized, and the TDAC was launched instead.

@THAI *****************************
I I don't think it will be incorporated into the flight ticket because it will be unfair to Thais. Google answered from AI that it may be implemented in 2026

Starting this month travelers will pay higher service fees, 75 baht for domestic flights and 425 baht for international ones.

The six airports affected by the new rates are:

- Krabi (KBV)

- Surat Thani (URT)

- Ubon Ratchathani (UBP)

- Khon Kaen (KKC)

- Nakhon Si Thammarat (NST)

- Phitsanulok (PHS)

This does not impact other airports.

but airport fees are usually charged on departure passengers and most of these airports are not international airports, not related to my question earlier.

@Stanley ****
there is no fee to enter Thailand. If you fly in any fees are covered as part of your airfare.
Stanley *****
@Brandon ***********
are you aware that Thailand has been saying that they will impose an entry free like Bali since after covid-19 but have been postponing it? The amount was already published, cheaper if enter via land. Some said it's already in effect but I want to be sure.
Graham ******
@Stanley ****
but it has not been enacted so there is no fee so you've had your answer

To be clear, most of these fake posts are written in poor English.

"scam mail from bangkok care full"

"SCAM MAIL FROM BANGKOK CARE FULL."

"scam care from bangkok"

You can look these up on Google, and you'll find the posts easily since it’s pretty rare for someone to misspell "careful" as two words "Care" "Full" 🤣

but Facebook allowed fake news, isn't it? I see so much fake news especially on Hong Kong's entertainment industry and some famous celebrities.

Coordinated inauthentic behavior is actually not allowed.

But they cannot properly moderate, for the moderation systems to work people need to report content. If no one reports then you end up with the facebook we all see, and use 😅
Stanley *****
@THAI *****************************
I believe it depends on what sort of report or fake news. I don't think FB will care to monitor everything, it's a waste of money. Furthermore, FB won't know who to believe too.

@Stanley ****
It mostly depends on the number of reports. If a large number of people flag the content, it’s first reviewed by AI and often removed automatically.

If it isn’t removed and continues to receive reports, it may eventually be escalated for human review.
Stanley *****
@THAI *****************************
..."if a large number of people"... , no wonder I see so many Christians' comments in some places
Patrick *******************
@Stanley ****
you have a problem with Christians?
Stanley *****
@Patrick ******************
I have no problem with Christians but some of them may have a problem with me because I expose evidence that Christianity, their Bible and Jesus stories are all fake, I mean I know they have conspiracy tricks of using propaganda through internet via chats.
Patrick *******************
@Stanley ****
it doesn't surprise me in the least that you only have 158 friends and they are the only ones who can see your FB profile because you keep everyone else locked out. Apparently even you aren't proud of the crap you peddle. If you were you wouldn't keep it hidden.
Patrick *******************
@Stanley ****
now suddenly you want to make it seem as if you are someone of note. Never heard of you and I'm willing to bet there's not many Christians that have either and out the very small number that have, there's not a one that's ever going to lose a night's sleep over your conspiracy theories. Suggest you peddle your crap elsewhere and not try and turn this thread into something it was never meant to be.
Stanley *****
@Patrick ******************
what conspiracy theories? And don't try to change topic to talk about my hidden profile, why should I be so stupid to expose myself to danger? If you claim that my evidence are conspiracy theory without even knowing them, it proved something is wrong with you. Do you want to see those evidence? Now think before you answer and let's see if you are honest or reasonable or not.
Patrick *******************
@Stanley ****
you do realize how massive FB is? Do you pay anything for your account Stanley? Not surprised that they miss things. If you're not happy with what FB has to offer suggest you delete your account and spend time elsewhere.... Cheers!
Stanley *****
@Patrick ******************
please don't make useless comment or lies against me by using an "if", when did I say I am not happy with FB? Even "if" I am not happy, why should I delete my account? Of course I spend more time elsewhere, life is not just FB.
