What are the recent updates on retirement visas and service prices during Songkran in Thailand?

Mar 15, 2025
For those using our services for retirement visas and other long-term visas, we are pleased to announce that, starting March 13th, we have further reduced prices on nearly all of our services.

If you are applying on your own, keep in mind that immigration offices will be closed for almost a week during Songkran:

▪ April 11th (Friday)

▪ April 12th (Saturday)

▪ April 13th (Sunday)

▪ April 14th (Monday)

▪ April 15th (Tuesday)

▪ April 16th (Wednesday)

Our offices will remain open, but applications submitted next month may experience delays due to these closures.

We felt this was worth sharing, and you can always reach out to us via LINE ( https://tvc.co.th/LINE ), or EMAIL ( help@tvc.co.th ).

TLDR : Answer Summary
The service provider has announced a price reduction for their visa services starting March 13th, particularly for retirement and long-term visas. However, due to the Songkran holiday, immigration offices will be closed from April 11th to April 16th, which may cause delays in processing applications. Several commenters have inquiries about visa-related services, such as office locations in Hua Hin and Bangkok, renewal of retirement visas, and assistance with bank account openings.

Love the ten year endorsement - like 200,000 Thai baht -- assuming you need a lot of help to even qualify for a Visa.

That is a great option.

But our services are targeting those who do not wish to apply on their own, and prefer assistance.

What does this even mean - it’s just like nonsense. Are you stating that you will ensure a none oa visa is sorted for 14k for 15 months as I find this ad very misleading

Works out to be around $30 a month for yearly extensions.

It's much more cost effective for you to apply on your own for the 3 month non-o based on retirement outside of Thailand, and then use our services for the yearly extension.

Has the problem with opening back accounts subsided? When the clamp down on Chinese scam call centres started the opening of Bank accounts was blocked even for retirement visas.

they can still do it as can most agents. But most agents in Bangkok will only do it as part of other services, not standalone.

so as per our conversation yesterday my best plan would be to secure my non O marriage visa here in the US, then after arriving in Thailand use an agent like this to open my bank account?

@Rick ********
No need to use an agent if you have the non-O visa. The non-O visa is what lets you open the bank account without an agent. The agent is only a requirement if you don't have the visa.

@everyone We keep notifications to a minimum, with our last update over six months ago.

However, many people tend to overlook Songkran closures, and we have not offered prices this low on some of our services since 2018.
