If you are applying on your own, keep in mind that immigration offices will be closed for almost a week during Songkran:

▪ April 12th (Saturday)
▪ April 13th (Sunday)
▪ April 14th (Monday)
▪ April 15th (Tuesday)
▪ April 16th (Wednesday)
Our offices will remain open, but applications submitted next month may experience delays due to these closures.

Works out to be around $30 a month for yearly extensions.It's much more cost effective for you to apply on your own for the 3 month non-o based on retirement outside of Thailand, and then use our services for the yearly extension.

Has the problem with opening back accounts subsided? When the clamp down on Chinese scam call centres started the opening of Bank accounts was blocked even for retirement visas.

No need to use an agent if you have the non-O visa. The non-O visa is what lets you open the bank account without an agent. The agent is only a requirement if you don't have the visa.Reply to
