It’s a little bit more than ‘fill out the TM30 and sign’.
It’s not just a piece of paper they fill out and it’s done. They need to actually file the TM30 with the immigration office, or give you the relevant documents so you can file it yourself.
The paper you take with you for your 90 day report is a copy of the filed TM30
The only address registration you need to concern yourself with after you enter Thailand is the TM30 (to be done within 24 hours of arrival at any address) and the 90 day report (89 days after arrival in the country).
It neither helps nor hinders your application, although there’s maybe a couple of squirrelly embassies/consulates in Malaysia that like to see a long lease. Usually though, any accommodation is fine. Many places just ask for an address and require no proof of renting or booking.
London embassy does not require that. Nor does anyone need your ‘facepalm’ cartoon or people laughing at others posts. It’s not a good look, especially when your comments are incorrect.
I tried to register for True Money a while ago so I could pay for stuff in 7-11 (they won’t let me pay with my Thai bank app or Bangkok Bank debit card) but the registration was too difficult.
So people without Thai bank accounts are still limited to drawing cash out, however they currently do that, and using True Money for scans. I suppose it’s kind of useful once you’ve topped up.
In your online banking, can you not print the current balance and still have it show the account information, like your name and account number? If so then add that to the pdf of your latest statement. Also worth mentioning it in your cover letter.
I would advise them to research the possibility first. Finding an organisation that would provide the documentation would be the first step I think rather than just making an application without really knowing if it will be successful or not.
