TLDR : Answer Summary
For 90-day reporting in Thailand, you need your landlord to fill out the TM30 form and sign it. However, it's important to note that the landlord must either file the TM30 with immigration or provide you with the necessary documents to do it yourself. In addition, when you go to make the report, you should take a copy of the filed TM30, along with your passport's bio page and visa entry stamp, and fill out the TM47 form. If your landlord has reported your stay electronically, you might not need a physical form from them.

If the landlord has reported you electronically, you should be in the system when you go to report, correct? There should be no need to get a physical form from the landlord.

What if you don't stay in Thailand for 90 days at a time? Do you still have to file this?

It’s a little bit more than ‘fill out the TM30 and sign’.

It’s not just a piece of paper they fill out and it’s done. They need to actually file the TM30 with the immigration office, or give you the relevant documents so you can file it yourself.

The paper you take with you for your 90 day report is a copy of the filed TM30

Anonymous participant Landlords who use agents tend to have the agents deal with TM30 as part of the service. The last 2 landlords and agents I have rented from do this.

TM30 not 40 but yes - all that is required from landlord. Copies of your Bio page in passport along with entry stamp and visa. Fill in TM47 form at the Immigration Office. Good to go.

the proof of TM30 can only be generated for 7 days after it's submitted online. After that the only way to get proof is to submit a new one and then search for the new one.

I have had 2 different types from different Immigration Offices. The Jomtien was a paper printout that was stapled into my passport. The Chiang Mai one is a digital PDF that looks much simpler. TWhat is your landlord giving you?

I already threw this out, but it looked like the Brandon Thurkettle example only half as long with the date of stay and name, nothing more.
