Hey all - to catch a bus from BKK to Pattaya you can just turn up at the bus stop, no need to pre-book a ticket?

Where are the bus stop(s) that go to Pattaya?

TLDR : Answer Summary
You do not need to pre-book a bus ticket to travel from Bangkok (BKK) to Pattaya; you can purchase your ticket directly at the bus stop. The main bus stops are Ekkamai Bus Station (below Ekkamai BTS) and Suvarnabhumi Airport. Buses leave approximately every 30-45 minutes, and mini vans also run to North Pattaya from Ekkamai when they're full. It's recommended to check the timetable online, though finding an accurate schedule can be tricky. According to users, tickets are usually cheaper when bought on the spot.

suvarnabhumi airport leaves on the hour but they sometimes add extra buses if busy.

Ekkamai used to be every 20 minutes pre-covid.

Mini vans also go to North pattaya from Ekkamai when full of passengers
