I am in the process of filing mt DTV application and I have run into a few roadblocks and need some help
Address: I live in a remote part of Alaska and when I put in my Post Office box address and my postal code my town is not included in the list? No what?
Professional portfolio: I own 2 businesses so I want to upload enough proof of the online business. Box 5 (professional portfolio)only allowes me to attach 1 document. How do I attach more than one or attach a file?
Hiring an agent: My first trip to Thailand during covid including the 7+7 program. I hired a agent to do my visa and it was worth it. So has anyone hired an agen?
First of all, yes everyone knows that we can fly out for another 180 days. But there may be people like me who would just extend cos we want it this way. And it’s for me to decide. No need any suggestions on what i should do. I’m only here to share the updates for DTV extension based on my visit to immigration today.
1. Your bank statement. You MUST have that 500k in your bank account for minimum one month. They asked me to bring my updated bank book too. They are extremely particular about that and they took a good amount of time to check in details.
2. Your professional portfolio. (It can vary if you applied with different route. But for my case i applied as a freelanced digital nomad.) So you must prepare a document stating what have you done during that 180 days in Thailand and what you will do in the next 180 days IN DETALS. Otherwise, it’s a no.
3. TM30 is also needed to be updated.
4. Visa extension fees is 1900. Yes, it’s confirmed.
No, i wasn’t fit to extend this time. But my visa is due in the mid of February. So will try again next month. 😁
I applied as an upwork freelancer and in my first submission, I uploaded my Earning Certificate downloaded from my Upwork account. I am working with only 1 client through Upwork since 2 years.
Now, they answered me asking to upload this document:
* Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status (Please upload professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad.).
Please advice what should I upload as documents and if you have examples of documents that could help me, I will be grateful.
I'm filling out an online DTV workcation category application as a self employed small business owner. In the "professional portfolio" section for supporting documents, should i just merge all the documents i want to provide as proof of having a business in one PDF file and attach it? Do i need to provide an outline or add notes to that PDF to make it easier to navigate? Should I add my cover letter there as well because there is no separate field for it?
I haven’t read of any freelancers applying, mainly remote workers and soft power so thought i’d share my experience.
