After my separation we also lost our visa for Thailand by end of June 😞
I applied for a Worcation Visa at the Munich Consulate. Sent them all requested documents (some of them just in German). After 10 days they requested a "professional portfolio". I sent my portfolio via the platform and within 3 hours my visa was approved.
Immediately I applied with my approved visa the child visa for my 16 yr old daughter. I could not deliver a 500.000 Baht (15.000 Euro) bank account statement, because she is not 18 years old. I sent instead a sponsor letter, that I will be in charge for all costs etc.
7 days later her visa also was approved.
A big Thank you to the Munich Consulate. The did NOT just rejected like obviously other Consulats. They asked for further documents. I delivered and they approved immediately.
Also during Covid I just had outstanding experiences with the Munich Consulate. Thanks again to them! 🙏
For my DTV e-visa application, should I include my YouTube and digital-work income in my portfolio PDF, or submit it separately in the income section along with bank statements showing over 500,000 THB?
And should the professional portfolio be a single PDF containing the cover letter, CV, and all attachments?
I'm interested in applying DTV to get 180 days stay permit in Thailand. i have checked all the requirements and i have no problem with them except the professional portfolio requirement. Had anyone experienced this before you start a digital nomad life but you need the portfolio now to enter Thailand?
This group has been very helpful to me when I was a clueless freelance worker (e.g. making income from etsy, fiverr) that didn't know how to go about with the documents to upload to prove my employment! So I made a youtube video sharing how I presented my professional portfolio, proof of income with invoices etc... Hopefully this video will help anyone like me :)
I applied for the DTV for WorkCation as a remote worker Employee. I work from home for a company and get paid bi-weekly. I originally submitted, employee contract with stated permission to work in thailand, as well as my bank statements.
i applied a couple weeks ago and just received my first email back from them and it states they want resume and professional portfolio.
Since i applied as an employee. How should I go about this?
Looking for constructive feedback on my prepared portfolio index below. Will be traveling at the weekend to HCMC to apply for DTV Freelance. Anything missing or too much info?
1) I’m an online freelance teacher with no official employer. What should I include in my professional portfolio for the application? Are bank slips accepted as proof of income from clients? Do I need to show contracts with my students? I’d especially love to hear from other freelance teachers who’ve been through this process
2) I plan to apply as the main visa holder, with my husband as a dependant. However, the required 500K baht is in *his* account. Has anyone successfully applied with the funds in a spouse’s name? Is it accepted?
3) Lastly, for someone with a Russian passport, which country is currently the easiest and fastest to apply from — Malaysia, Cambodia, or Vietnam?
Does anyone have a list of docs that they submitted as professional freelancer portfolio that led to the approval of a DTV visa? Im a producer, I go to Asian countries like Korea and search for source material and unique IP to license and bring back to the US to pitch and remake in Hollywood.
Important to note my pay comes from closing deals, I’m not a 9-5 worker and some deposits from a closed deal are months in between.
Here’s what I have but unsure if it’s enough or even what they want;
-bank statements (Wise) that reflect more than the amount of 500,000 THB.
- a 2025, 1099 from one of the clients for a sale with amount of sale
- letters with letterheads from Hollywood producers and companies stating intentions to do business and what kind of business (format business) and with who (Webtoon, Tapas, Netflix, Gordon Ramsey, Teddy Zee, etc)
- Articles from Variety and Deadline that state my move to bring formats from Asia to the US
- my companies articles of organization as an LLC
- LinkedIn profile link
What else should include in this if any? This has been so confusing and was about to pay for a visa attorney to do it but thought I’d ask here first.
Any help would be super appreciated! Thanks! I’ll have to name anyone who helps in my next TV Drama 😂
If applying for a DTV visa based on being the sole proprietor of a small online business. Does any know more information on what documents should be included in the “professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent, or freelancer status”?
