I have not tried that yet but since Hua Hin is where I want to finally settle I don't mind but it may be different for you. Honestly I just don't know. I was just glad to get an account and because of the app facility I don't think it matters much

If you're willing to travel to Hua Hin, I know a very reliable and honest agent that will do it for you. 2,000 baht is her charge. Pay after you get the account so there is little risk

They always require a ticket for visa applications. You should book a refundable ticket in case

me too. They never asked for proof of funds. I did send them an email and never got a reply but I received an email confirming the visa with an attachment to print out and present at immigration
