Being 70 y/o now and only just started drawing my 3 uk pensions, I can easily meet the 65k thai baht p/month criteria for having uk/thai money income/transfer, I also have a decent amount of savings to put 400k thai bht in a Thai bank,. I need to open a Thai bank account and will be entering the country on a 60 day visa exempt stamp and will extend this by 30 days,I have a Residense in thailand also, what’s my best plan of action when I arrive back in a few months time ?,.thanks,.

Hi friends, Is the DTV visa an actual resident visa or just a glorified visit visa? - that’s the one thing that isn’t clear to me?

Example:

My consulate will not renew passports for tourists on ANY kind of extended stay tourist visas (they force you to fly back home) but will of course for residents on a long term resident visa

I am in Thailand on a resident visa. If I ge a re-entry permit and go to Malaysia in the new VTL system, do I need to do the whole Thailand Pass rigmarole to come back, or does my current visa remove the need for that?

I went to chaengwattana today for my TR 60 visa. I got No consideration stamp. Officer told me, I don't need to come back again. I got 60days extension, until September 26.
