Its not a full medical like on the O-X requirement list just screening for certain diseases like TB, Leprosy, Syphilis, and a few more. I think i have blown my application as the Drs in the UK are so hard to get an appointment with. I went to my clinic today in Scotland and was told to send them an email and they would look into it and that about sums up the poor service here. I think ive missed the chance for this winter.... ive only myself to blame.

Okay its me again....im struggling with this online application. I want to apply for a Type O-A Visa but it continually defaults to O-X and I cant see any options to avoid this. Should I be able to apply for an O-A Visa online? Secondly When I getto the end and its asking me to upload various Documents it is asking for a Biography but what on earth is that??

I thought this would be the best Visa for me to come and go on multiple entries and also get a residence cert and a bank account here.

Its the over 50 retirement Visa Type O-A. I was just about to delete this post as Ive gone online and it only asks for the date of departure but doesnt ask for your departure flight just entry flight.

Really...damn. It sounds like i need to get a bit more organized and book some flights and accomodation. I really like to leave these things open so i have flexibility but rules are rules. Many thanks for the clarification. Andy.

Yes Ive just seen that on the website :-O It also says that its for a 60 day visit but Im assuming you can extend for 30 days but then I guess you have to leave and come back in!! I think the 6 months is a little misleading.

Question for mods, can this person not apply for a multiple entry Tourist Visa that lasts for 6 months. He wouldnt need to leave the country but could if he wanted to and also re-enter on same visa or am i missing something. Thanks.

My understanding is just get it extended in Thailand every 90 days

Thanks everyone. I sent them a question using the "ask me a question" facility but havnt heard any thing back and as it's been 4 days I dont think I will now. Maybe I'll look at the over 50 Visa and see if they want all the lodging details up front.
