It will depend on the bank what is possible but you want that document to be dated as close as possible to your application date. I got the document on the same day as my application. Got it in the morning, applied in the afternoon.

It's a tourist visa. Not a long term resident visa. And even the latter have to renew every year. They can get denied as well.

Yes, it was the same for me. Just had to get a paper from ais and bring it to the bangkok bank branch with my passport and a few hours later everything was working again.

You have to check the website. You should get an email when approved or rejected. Still, best to check the site daily in case it goes to spam or something ;-)

a visa is tied to a passport number though. My passport number is clearly mentioned on the visa so I still think this can be moved to another passport. That way you don't have to travel with several passports either.

I mean it is probably better to get a new passport but usually 6 months is enough to get the visa. But you will need to move the visa to the new passport when the time comes. That happens in the local immigration office.

No. I applied there In April and only had the amount of 500k for about 2 -3 weeks. I did provided 3 months statements which showed a lowest balance of around 150k. My statements did also show normal usage of income/expense.
