Do I need to complete my 90-day report if I'm leaving Thailand just before the grace period?

I need to do my 90 day report by the 17th of June. I have a flight out of Thailand on the 23rd. My understanding is I get 1 week after the reported date to do it. Given I'm leaving one day before is it okay to not do it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is uncertain about the necessity of completing a 90-day reporting before leaving Thailand just a day prior to the deadline. There are varying opinions in the comments suggesting that while reporting is technically required, it may not be strictly enforced at the airport when departing. Some commenters note that while there is a one-week grace period after the due date, failing to report could lead to potential fines during future immigration interactions.

You may not report this time. Nobody checks it

In theory you have to report but in reality you will be fine by not doing it and just leaving the country. They don't check this at the airport.

You must report being 90 days in Thailand. The fact that you’re allowed up to 7 days after to do so is irrelevant. If you don’t report you may be subject to a fine when you next interact with immigration.

You probably don't need to report.

You have a 1 week grace period after your 90 day due date

Anonymous participant 206 it’s only a grace period if you do it you’ll will be fined 2000 baht when they catch up with you

Anonymous participant 206 the grace period is for filing the report, not for the requirement to report. If you are inside Thailand for 90 consecutive days you are legally obliged to file a report

Anonymous participant 206 The grace period is to report. If no report then it is recorded as a no report.

The 90 days is 90 days. The weeks leeway is if you actually report. Currently there is no issue leaving or re-entering if you do not complete the 90 day report. However, it is a requirement for your visa and immigration always have this recorded. Some "O" Visa holders do not report and pay a fine once a year when renewing their visa. As the Thais say "Alai gadai" (Up to you).
