TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among the commenters is that cryptocurrency cannot be used as proof of the required 500,000 THB in a bank account for the DTV visa in Thailand. While some suggest alternative methods such as taking a loan against crypto assets, most emphasize that the funds need to be in liquid cash, held directly in a personal bank account to avoid issues with the immigration process.
They say crypto and brokerage accounts are too vulnerable.

Id suggest using crypto to buy gold as thats accepted and is flying unlike crypto. Then exchange your gold back to crypto as a certain 'few' are set to bull big in 6-9 months
I’ll have spent 244 days here since mid October last year in Thailand
I know people rinse them but all it takes it’s for an immigration officer to have had a bad day and refuse entry
Can’t think of anything worse lol
I’ve got an agent that guarantees entry but then when applying for a real visa, they may not like the history in my passport and potentially refuse visa then
Might be overthinking/worrying too much

Anonymous participant plenty of people here successfully received a dtv with a history of border runs. $15k is way too much to keep in a passive account for 3 months and not invest in a bull market this year
u still need to pay back at the price of that coin by the time. The same as cash it out

Anonymous participant 934 Not true.
1. Borrow 16,000 USD stablecoin against BTC, ETH, SOL on Kamino or Aaave.
2. Cash out stable coin to bank, season the money for visa
3. After visa approved, repay

USD stablecoin loan + 6-10% annual interest.
The loan is denominated in USD, the collateral moving in price doesn't affect the loan amount. Only thing to be aware of is the interest rate and provide enough collateral to not get liquidated on a down move.
Anonymous participant i guess if you use a crypto wallet as your fund it would be ideal to present usdt, but then again not sure how they view it so I would further investigate the topic.

Anonymous participant the recommendation I give is to go with the safest option in the eyes of the government. Crypto can come and go, but cash in a savings account is safe. Etc.
