My OA visa expires tomorrow so went to Lao over the weekend and just went through immigration. I had 20k just in case but they didn't ask. and got my year extension.
Just so I'm clear, if you have an O-A it just needs to be seasoned for 2 months prior to asking for your first extension and 3 months prior for extensions after that. For the O visa money must be in 3 months prior to your first extension.
I'm seeing more reports of the TM30 being asked for at CW. I've rented a condo for over a year here in Bangkok but my girlfriend's name is on the contract. Does she have to file the report even though she's not the landlord? Maybe just file myself to be safe
Thanks Robert! Very helpful info. And I need show proof in 10 months that the funds were transferred in one lump sum? or can I work up to 800k amount and just show a local bank statement when I ask for another year?
I submitted my passport and paperwork to the Thai consulate in Los Angeles this morning and received my O-A visa this afternoon. Thanks for all the help and support I got here in this group - currently celebrating.
