Thanks a lot

TLDR : Answer Summary
The notice pertains to the TM30 form, which must be filed by landlords when a foreigner arrives at their property in Thailand. Failure to file can result in fines ranging from 2,000 to 10,000 baht. Responses indicate that this form should ideally be submitted within 24 hours of arrival, and while it's typically the landlord's responsibility, tenants may consider filing for themselves to ensure compliance. The discussion includes mentions of enforcement variations by different local immigration offices.

Many people dont know this law and a lot of owner ignore coz they just sit in their house . The announce is on the board in the immigration office. Please share this info. Ask every owner to registre you . You have visa or not but if you are not registred in 24 h.You're still out of law. Sorry for my english.

Each time foreigner go out and come back in Thailand , the owner of the house, hotel etc. have to registre online ( search for immigretion web. )or on TM.30 at immigration office. One time done, will be easy for the rest . My friend who lives in my house do by himself every 3 month since 5 years.

That is a grey area :/ The way the wording is phrased in thai it could be interpreted that the "possessor" of the place is the tenant and that makes the tenant responsible.

I would say seeing as the TM.30 receipt is something foreigners NEED at some offices to get things done that no matter who is really responsible for it, it would sure be good if you had that receipt in your passport

The timeline to do the TM 30 address registration is within 24 hours after arrival of the foreigner at the address.

Your landlord can do this online, if he/she want to share the login and password you can do it yourself.

So can I do this via online?

Not odd at all, it depends on the enforcement of this rule at your local Immigration Office. It used to be lots of papers send around to inform another office, now with a new computer system and database it becomes more easy and more Immigration Offices start to enforce the rules.

I'm seeing more reports of the TM30 being asked for at CW. I've rented a condo for over a year here in Bangkok but my girlfriend's name is on the contract. Does she have to file the report even though she's not the landlord? Maybe just file myself to be safe

On the same subject can I do it myself at Bluport Immigration?

@Richard ******
thank you.

Do u need a proxy letter to file yourself?
Richard *******
The TM 30, can be filed by the Hotel, Condo/house owner or house master (which in the case of renting would be yourself). If you are concerned as a house/condo renter that your TM.30 has not been filed by the Landlord, then you can file yourself. If you are renting, i would suggest you contact the landlord and ask if they have filed it. If they have not, you can file yourself.

It is explaining about filing of the TM30 form. If the TM30 is not filed you can be liable for a fine of between 2000-10,000 baht.
