Uk citizen on 60 day tourist visa. Is my first option to extend to a 30 day extension?

I’m now married to Thai national but my bank funds have not been seasoned yet for two months. I’ve been asked to go back to immigration in Nong Bua between today and the 7th of this month. But I’m not sure if it is for a tourist extension because they also gave me a tm87 to fill out. Thanks for the help

For the marriage visa, you need 400k in the bank, right? Does that need to season for 2 months before/after application? And, also, on the first time applying is it given for 1 year or 3-months and then a year after that. Thanks.

In regard to having the 800k in the bank to reapply for the Non-Imm O visa, which I do have, however, I had it in one Thai bank then transferred it to another Thai bank in early January. My return to Thailand will be sometime during March.

Will this affect the need for the requirement of having it for the 3 month prior period? My previous Non-Imm O visa will be invalid on my return because I failed to get a re-entry stamp on my leaving considering I would be gone for a longer period. Circumstances changed so, back earlier. Also, I assume I will need the 20k on my arrival. Correct? Thanks.

Is the 2 month aging for bank funds based on date to date or number of days; 60 days or 5 Feb to 5 April?

Good morning all.

I posted a few weeks back to ask for guidance on moving from a Visa Exempt entry to a Non-Immigrant O Visa (to be obtained in Thailand), then moving to a 1 year extension based on retirement

Robert advised to visit the local Immigration Office and ask for requirements.

I did this, and partner and I today submitted our applications for the Non-Immigrant O Visa (1st stage) and I thought I would share my experience and of course thank Robert for his advice and along with his colleagues, thank him for providing a well-run and helpful Facebook group – THANK YOU !

In the interests of sharing my experience with you, I have done so below - so only worth reading if you have similar requirement.

Cheers !

Eric Schurig is asking in another topic:

So having just gotten my O-A visa outside of Thailand using banked funds, I don't have to show 800k bht in a Thai bank to immigration here until 3 months before my visa expires next October and it doesn't need to be transferred in one lump sum, I can work up to that amount over the coming 9 months?
