Hey all.. I'm here on a year's extension of stay on my OA visa which expired mid October of this year. I left the kingdom and returned just before my OA expired and am now good, on extension, until early October 2020. I also didn't have to show insurance upon re entry because not required until later that month. However I plan to go to the US for a few weeks over the holidays. Will I be asked to show insurance at airport immigration when I return? I have signed up and paid for a plan (Pacific Cross Maxima) but they're being slow sending me a card, all I have is a receipt for the payment I've made. Wondering about anyone's experience or info on OA extension of stay and the health insurance issue coming up at immigration. Thanks!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a year's extension of stay with an OA visa, which is set to expire in October 2020. After leaving Thailand for a brief period, they re-entered just before their visa expired. They are now concerned about whether they will need to provide proof of health insurance when returning to Thailand after a trip to the US during the holidays. Although they have signed up for insurance, they only have a receipt for the payment and not the actual insurance card. Other community members responded with mixed experiences, suggesting it's wise to carry their receipt and any proof of their coverage.
