I'm certainly not going to take that chance when I don't know if the embassy is going to give me the DTV. I'd better find out if they can cancel it at the Embassy Wednesday decide if they're going to give me the visa.
thanks for the information I'm definitely not going to try it in Singapore then. Even though I live in southern Thailand and it's close. It looks a lot easier in Laos, check out their embassy, the list is pretty short.
it's the 5-year versus 1-year thing and part of that is every two years they make us get a new marriage certificate from Philippines where I was married and that's a hassle and then I have to travel to Bangkok to get it authenticated I'm thinking with the 5-year DTV I would only have to do that once at the beginning and not again for another 5 years. Also the annual documentation of the financial requirement is a hassle under the retirement Visa it's not about the money amount it's about having to get all the documents together every year versus once every 5 years.
I wonder if the system will know to send me a 90-day reminder after the last notification of receipt that I submitted with the new passport number because it had been <90 days since I got the new extension. The reminder came under the old passport number but I answered it with the new passport number, does that make sense?
