Hey just thought I would let people know that the border at Ranong is a very simple bounce in and out. Did it yesterday myself and it cost me 2600 thb and was over and back within the hour and I was the only one. I’m on a non o visa by the way.

Thank goodness I am not involved, but getting some insight into the Thai legal process today and man it's depressing. That said, if anyone knows a Thai bail bondsman send me a message

Hello I recently got a new passport and had my stamps transferred at my local immigration office. I also got a one-year extension after that. But I am still getting 90 day extension reminders by email from immigration for the old (now invalid) passport number. When I got the first one, I submitted an application with the new passport number and received a receipt of acknowledgment that I had notified them of my stay over 90 days. But then after another month or so I got anorher reminder to submit a 90-day report with the old passport number. Since I have proof that I am up to date with 90-day reports using my new passport number, can I just ignore these messages about my old passport number?

Hi can anyone help me with this one. We got our one year visa exension in October at Phuket no problem. We then moved to Prachaup. When we went to get our 90 day reporting they said there was no information on the computer that we had had a one year extension. All the evidence is on the passports but not in the computer. They gave us a 90 day report, but said we might have problems if we leave the country as nothing on the computer?

I have an O type marriage visa. I have renewed it (!!!!) three times. Apparently, unknown and unrequested by me they had changed this to a retirement visa by scribbling 'retirement' in Thai over the visa renewal notice stamp in my passport. (I had always kept over 800,000Baht in that account because they kept talking about changing the rules). This past year I spent money from that account installing solar panels lowering the balance to 570,000Baht. They REFUSED to extend my marriage visa saying I had a retirement visa and not enough money in the bank. I would have to REAPPLY for a NEW marriage visa. I naturally objected, as I ONLY have a type 'O' marriage visa with extension stamps in my passport and have never sought a retirement visa, but they insisted... I am now on a temporary extension waiting to see if they will issue me a new marriage visa... I have been waiting now over a month. I am still unsure if I should engage lawyers.

Hi,

Just looking for some advice.

I have been in Thailand for 2 years, with the exception of going to Australia for 3 months, and back home to Ireland for 5 months.

On return to Thailand in August, the IO argued with me and told me I had to leave in 2 weeks, as I am not a ‘tourist’ when I explained to her I had a boyfriend here. She told me I cannot stay in this country long term to be with my boyfriend as it is not a valid reason.

However my passport had 60 day stamp, which I used and extended with no issues in Samui, they only mentioned that the IO in Bangkok made a ‘remark’ on my passport.

This is now up for renewal in 2 weeks, meaning I will be actually leaving and returning to Thailand for the first time after the issues in Bangkok.

I’m planning to do visa via Andaman Club.

Is this a big risk as I had problems previously in Bangkok? I really would not like to be sent to my home country in those circumstances.

Maybe going home and trying for a more promising visa such as Ed visa is better? And yes I would actually study.

I know there is no exact answer for this but any advice on other people’s experiences would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance 🙏🏼
