If the Thai govement were to open up to Europeans with the promise of a long stay visa with the 14 day quarantine but not all the other hoops and expense I’m sure many would take them up on it. I would sacrifice 14 days and a reasonable expense to have 6 or 7 months in Thailand.
The thai govt idea of a vacation is spend $6000 on plane , forced hotel , food , special visa fees etc etc to stay locked up in a hotel room for 14 days before starting your vaca what a shit show and embarrassing for the thsi people

To the Chinese who have endure the CCP version of lockdown and forced quarantine ... they are not going to volunteer for that under any circumstance... the quarantines were no joke there... even if they offered them free trips with the only stipulation is that they need to quarantine... their home experience comes to mind and they would say thanks but no thanks...
clever enough to know that chinese do require and qualify for a 15-day visa on arrival. Where as you would qualify for a 30 day and you are neither asian not asean.
