In the case of a lost or stolen passport, has anyone been able to fly domestically in Thailand using their driver's license from another country and a copy of the police report as their identification for the airline and airport?
AirAsia told my travel agent it's possible, but I don't trust Airasi as a reliable source. Two other airlines told me it's not possible. So has anybody tried it?
TLDR : Answer Summary
There is some confusion regarding ID requirements for domestic flights in Thailand when a passport is lost or stolen. Some users report successfully using their foreign driver's licenses along with a police report as identification, while others mention the need for a Thai driver's license. AirAsia indicated it's acceptable, but other airlines disagreed. Overall, it seems that having a photo ID is generally acceptable for domestic travel, but experiences may vary depending on the airline.
