Not so much a DTV question but do you carry your passport with you? I never leave our home without it but fiance thinks its not necessary. I’ve been asked for my passport several times on days I didn’t think id need it and continue to carry it daily

There has been lots of posts over the years regarding to the use of "Pink" Thai IDs cards. Here is my experience after 5 or 6 years of use. In my mind it's second class to your passport or "normal" Thai ID, in so much they are used when a greater level of verification is needed, like banks, AIS, LD (land department). However, I have successfully used the pink ID in Hospitals both private and government, doctors, dentists, which is useful if I need to go without thinking about taking my passport, because I leave it at home.

In the case of a lost or stolen passport, has anyone been able to fly domestically in Thailand using their driver's license from another country and a copy of the police report as their identification for the airline and airport?

AirAsia told my travel agent it's possible, but I don't trust Airasi as a reliable source. Two other airlines told me it's not possible. So has anybody tried it?
