You're responsible for the tax, not the company. Tax treaty typically means you owe here if over 180d but home country would reduce the amount you owe by the taxes you paid. You're best off consulting an average accountant
everyone intuits you'd be working there because 99% of the time you would be back home. It's hard enough to start a new business already. You know how to hang up drywall so you do that, oh you can go fix this thing, oh you're the owner so you'll set the schedule, etc. totally fine back home, and here you're arguably taking away from Thai labor for any task you do. So you basically can do none.
Michael Ballman what does that mean? I don't understand how you are hitting this requirement. also these requirements seem like they are intending for people to qualify 90% of the way there but not actually have barely anyone get actually able to qualify and use the program, for completely arbitrary reasons.
What would they charge for overstay for, if leaving before the visa expires? I'm on Ed visa and just plan on leaving Saturday. Mine expires like a week later. Didn't plan on going to immigration...
my reasoning for wanting to get it out of the way asap is i'm heading to koh lanta for the rest of the time, and don't want to take a trip back to krabi from lanta just to get the extension.
so i'll land my 2nd time, get a 30 day sticker, and can immediately head to an immigration office for extension? works for me. found this for krabi too - wondering which is less of a headache. seems that while BKK may take more of an effort to get around, i could be sleeping in koh lanta that night? else i might need to spend a night in krabi it seems before lanta.
