Last time they just wanted our passports and our TM30. And the form which you can do online and print or fill out there.

I recommend getting a Thai driver's license. I am on a DTV and use TrueMoney with no problem. Friend of mine was having the "provide documentation" problem, got a Thai DL, problem solved.

Only TDAC, passport, and copy of the visa. Not 100% sure the visa was actually needed but I had it handy.

I would be surprised if they did. They don't accept brokerages, they want bank checking or savings.

In general investment accounts don't qualify, even very liquid ones.

this is simply false. You can work in Thailand, just not for a Thai company.

The best approach is probably a "digital nomad" visa for which you need either a current contract or employment agreement; or a portfolio of work if you're a freelancer, showing regular income.

Good luck! Thailand is what if call "conservative but very tolerant" when it comes to trans people.

The ask:thailand community, consisting of multiple Q/A groups with over 100,000 members, powers this platform. It is not an official government resource. Our members actively contribute to this resource, and while we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee its complete reliability. Assistance to travelers is provided as a community service.
