After a change of plans I am considering applying for the visa detailed below. I have a stable income from pensions and rental but the requirements mention nothing about the sums of money involved. Can someone shed some light on this for me please? I am currently on non o based on being over 50.

I’m new to the Thai visa process and recently applied for the Non-OA visa. While rereading the requirements for the LTR Visa: Wealthy Pensioners, I noticed that I may qualify. Is it possible and advisable to apply for multiple visas? The LTR visa is processed through Bangkok instead of the Thai embassy in the US, which is my case. Can I apply for the LTR Visa while residing in Thailand, or should I apply before leaving the US? It seems that either way is possible.

Is there any harm in applying, even if things don’t work out?

I also posted this on the Thai Visa sister page.
