If you don't have one open a UK bank account that has no ATM fees abroad (maybe Chase or Starling). You'll just pay a flat 220b fee charged by the Thai bank then.

I think there were about 3. One was asking who invited you. Can't remember off the top of my head, but it'll be pretty obvious. I've had a few application approvals now and all within a week.

There's certainly no sign of low season in Patong that I saw. Hotel prices have levelled off a bit but way above last September. Russian males of military age are unlikely to want to join the patriotic cause...

I am currently in Phuket on a 60 day Tourist Visa. I see a fair queue of people outside Patong immigration office. If I want a 30 day extension, are there better times to attend than others? Any tips welcome.
