Hi guys, If I enter on a visa exempt 30 days and then extend by 30 days (for 1900baht), come back to the UK, can I return as soon as I like and do the same 30 + 30 again?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user asks if they can re-enter Thailand using a 30-day visa exempt entry followed by a 30-day extension, and if it's possible to repeat this process after returning to the UK. They received confirmation that while there is no official limit to the number of times they can do this, frequent repetitions may raise questions at immigration. Suggestions included looking into long-term visas or options like the Non Immigrant OA visa for easier long-term stays in Thailand, noting the importance of meeting entry requirements such as insurance and quarantine measures.

A Non Imm OA visa obtained in your country does not need Thai bank account.

It’s great for multiple entry and long stays.

best of luck

Sorry one more question. The OA visa says I need the necessary insurance but presumably (at the moment) I still need a C of E for each visit even if I hold an OA visa?

Yes, you still must fulfill entry requirements, including in/out patient insurance and covid insurance for the length of time you are stamped in for which is a year.

If travelling back and forth it may be an idea to look into a long term visa with multiple re-entry permit.

Thanks Stuart. It's the faffing about with a Thai bank account (which I don't have now) which puts me off, but only because I've never done it.

Yes you can. If you do it too many times you may find they start to ask questions although technically there’s no actual limit how many times you can do so.
