I got a reminder on 14th April (for 29th) and submitted it the same day. It was approved on 15th.

What is the procedure for using a re-entry permit on a Non-OA visa in Thailand?

The only thing you need to do is check they notice the visa when you return and make sure they don't give you a normal 30 day stamp when you come back in. They can make mistakes, so always check before you leave the immigration booth.

All good but when.you return, make sure they stamp you in to the end of your extension. I've twice narrowly avoided them failing to notice.

Unless a TM30 is filed outside, they don't know you've even gone. If one is, I always update it on my return, although my condo ladies do it happily FoC.

Only if a TM30 is filed outside, e.g. if you stay in a hotel and they take your passport or DL.
