When do I need to apply for my next extension of stay after a one-year extension granted on 15 Feb 2024?

I need a bit of advice.

I extended my 90 day O visa to a one year extension of stay on 15 Feb 2024. In the photo two dates are shown, 15 Feb 2024 & 26 Feb 2025. Do I need to apply for another extension of stay by Feb 15 or Feb 26?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user needs clarification on the deadline for applying for an extension of stay after extending their 90-day O visa to a one-year extension on February 15, 2024. Comments indicate that the expiration date remains February 26, 2025, regardless of when they apply, and that the next application should be made before that date.

I would go now to get your extension. New year will still expire on

Don't forget, you may need to order your 1 year bank statement from your bank 1 week before you plan to submit your 1 year extension with your immigration office. You might confirm with your bank how much time they need to get the 1 year statement for you.

I think you might be confusing getting a new yearly extension with applying for the initial 90 day Non-Immigrant Type visa from a free entry stamp or tourist visa entry.

That process does indeed require you have so many days left on your existing stamp before you apply for the visa because of the 2 to 3 week "under review" period.

BUT

yearly extensions of stays (no matter if it's the first year or subsequent ones) can be applied for right up to the day your current stamp runs out

no problem at all, (y)

that is not correct at all πŸ™

At most offices you can apply for a new yearly extension when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp, that means from a month before it expires right on down to the very last day the current stamp runs out (if they wanted to wait that long)

@Junior *****
the extension of a non-O based on Retirement is done while you wait.

not in Samui, it can take a week.

He’s not renewing a visa, he’s applying for a one year extension and he can get it done the same day.

You don't renew, you extend, and it doesn't take that long.

Your expiration date for your yearly extension doesn't vary year to year no how early you apply for it. Yours will always be Feb 26th

You can see from your stamps; it shows you entered on a 90 day Non-O visa on Nov 29, 2023 and were given until Feb 26th 2024.

Then on Feb 15th 2024 you applied for a new year extension which was granted until the same date your 90 day stamp ran out (plus 1 year πŸ™‚ ) Feb 26th 2025

Your extension expiration date will always be Feb 26th (unless you mess it up πŸ™‚ )
