I went to Thai embassy twice to get TR visa. They are VERY picky about the requirements. I got turned away because I am staying with family in Bangkok and need a bunch of documents. They even ask birth cert. of my daughter... Must have return ticket also. I have MM2H visa in Malaysia. my understanding is that they do not provide TR visa unless you are resident in Malaysia. In any case they are not cooperative at all...
