Hello . I am finally going to immigration this friday formy 1st retirement visa extension. Last doc check and one specific question on 800k fund deposit.

• it is me and my Italian wife

• we intend to ask 1 year extension for me and TRAILING spouse for my wife

• we both have non-O obtained outside thailand

• Passport, original and copy of visa, entry stamp

• TM30

• TM7

• STM2

• Overstay penalties

• 2x photo

• Copy of house rental contract

• Photo in front of house

• Health insurance 100k USD

• wedding certificate + English translation

• pension statement (but I also have 800k THB deposit)

• 2x 2000 THB

BANK

• I made a deposit of 800k on my personal saving account two months ago. The account is on MY NAME

• I have bank certificate for the 800+ THB in my account

• Original bank booklet + copy

QUESTION: Will this suffice?

• The account in on my name, my spouse name in not there

• I have 800k , will they ask for 800k x 2 = 1.6M?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is preparing for their first retirement visa extension in Thailand and is inquiring if their documentation, including an 800k THB deposit in their personal account, is sufficient. They have listed necessary documents and are concerned about potential requirements regarding their spouse's financial qualifications. A community member advises that the user should consult their local immigration office for specific guidance, noting variability in requirements and potential questions about the 800k fund.

The answer is the same as before. Speak to your immigration office. Until you know that you won't know for sure. Some require the bank letter on the day, some allow up to 7 days old. Bank book must be updated on the day. You might need your wedding certificate verified, maybe not. They shouldn't ask for 2 lots of 800k but you never know, if they do your wife won't meet the seasoning requirements. Where is the pension statement from? If it's from Italy it's meaningless as is the health insurance. What's with the reference to overstay penalties?

Reality is nobody can answer all your questions other than your local immigration office.

yeah. For nothing in black or white here. I was just trying to understand if someone went to the same process and the roadblocks.

I will definitely know by Friday.

Pension statement and health insurance I will bring with me just in case.
