Hello everybody!
I am finally heading to Phuket next September to finally settle down there.
Situation: We are a couple , 50+ years old, Arrived both on non-O visa obtained abroad on Aug 23rd, wife will be on trailing spouse extension, Already made 800k deposit in Thai bank arrived on Aug 29th. We both have health insurance.
Question:
=> do I need a specific letter from my bank or just a normal account statement print out and bank book copy (last 3+ months) ?
We are in Bangkok now staying with Daughter.
By mid-end october we will be in Phuket staying in hotel (or B&B) till we find house to rent/buy.
Question: most likely we will not have a final place to live when we will submit our retirement extension in Phuket.
-> Will I be able to use B&B or Hotel address (I will ask TM30)?
Any other thing to keep in mind except the usual passport + copies, pics, TM7, 1900THB fee... ?
THANKS!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A couple planning to retire in Phuket needs to ensure they have the appropriate documentation for their retirement visa extension. Important items include checking with the Phuket immigration office for the latest requirements, obtaining a recent bank letter (no more than 7 days old) along with account statements showing movements for the past 2 months. Since they will be staying in a hotel or B&B without a permanent address at the time of application, they should inquire if they can use that address for registration and also ensure the submission of other standard documents such as passport copies, photos, a TM7 form, and the required fee.
