Anonymous participant so is it the actual 90 day visa or an extension of stay stamp? If the initial visa you can exit the country and the visa is void, if it's an extension you must first cancel your work permit and then your extension at immigration.

Many embassies want to see X months of bank statements, depending on your DTV scheme, but they aren't necessarily demanding that 500K is in the account all that time. They aren't going to look favorably on an account with a couple hundred dollars and then suddenly $16,000 is plunked into it a week before the application date. You can show a final balance, but more than that you need to show stable financial independence.

the OP stated when asked that his main purpose was to visit his son, not tourism. He did not have the correct visa for that purpose.

Just hand over the printout of your e-visa. 0.1% chance of being asked for anything else.

you aren't the first of tens of thousands of people who have expired or lost, or damaged passports with a visa or extension, as mentioned carry both passports and your DTV visa printout when entering the country.

Make sure you only ask for it once the year extension is inked in, not if there is an under consideration stamp etc.
