TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the necessity of signing documents with blue ink when registering the TM.30 form online in Thailand. Several commenters affirm that using blue ink for signatures is standard practice, although one argues its relevance in online registration. Additionally, users share experiences about registering TM.30, with some stating that only basic personal details are needed and questioning the need for extensive documentation.

Sue Heimchen How do you do your own on line? I created a account on the website and tried to do the TM 30 but did not have any luck getting a copy of the TM 30.

When I went to immigration to try to do it I was told it was responsibility of my landlord.

Any help would be great appreciated.

you can easily download the TM30 notification once you’ve done it yourself online and then print it from your device if needed.

Typically hotels only copy the biodata page. This sounds like overkill. Certainly more than required for simply entering foreigner TM30 data online. Leasee doesn't have 3 eee's. Not from official government website.

Whatever quote you got there from wherever, is wrong. I do TM30 registering online (for myself) very often, and me as the tenant only put in my name, passp. no. tel.no. male/female and nothing else.

I registered the house from the landlord with his copies of housebook and ID he gave me and made an new own account on the website. Once registered and logged in I just add may personal datas requested in the fields every time I need it and thats it. I can even print it

(most landlords just don‘t want to do a TM30 everytime and are glad if the tenant takes over this work)

this sounds not correct. Whenever I check into hotel I don’t use my passport so how does the hotel file a TM30?

I file dozens of TM30s daily for multiple hotels and villas I manage, for over 10 years. I've probably filed over 200,000 TM30s. We must keep a paper or digital copy of the passport biodata page for every foreign guest. Perhaps your hotel accepted a Thai drivers license, as it contains the passport number, but it still doesn't list the nationality, and driver's license isn't an approved document by the government acceptable in place of the passport. There's no need to sign the passport page. If we get randomly inspected by immigration (which has happened), we must show that we have the passport copies with the guest registration records, and that TM30s have been filed for each foreigner currently staying.

Certified with blue ink means you need to sign each copy with a blue pen

What do you use then? I give my Thai DL, but the passport no. is on there as well. For registering TM30 (only for foreigner) online there is no need for a photo, only no. of passport and Birthday m/f
