Todd is 100% right, there is no such thing as a medical visa. Just an extension based on medical grounds.

the other thing confusing is why didnt apply to renew the work permit? Labour departments are not giving the blue books back until can show a valid visa or extension stamp but they issue a document to show immigration.

What is so difficult to understand? You have until 26th September to get out and make a visa or go home. If your home country is closed due to covid then you have to ask your embassy for a letter saying so then can get extension.

If there are flights and your country isn't closed then you won't get a letter and thats it.

This is a grace period to prepare to leave and make travel plans not an amnesty!

They will not just keep giving out tourist visa extensions because you feel like staying a bit longer im afraid.

The problem might also come for your work permit because they say the wp3 has to applied for from outside Thailand. For what stupid reason i will never know.

Maybe visas applications will be allowed internally but the labor department dont connect with immigration and say wp3 have to be made from outside of Thailand.

You need wp3 in order to get 1st non b visa so it is a catch 22 if they don't read from the same sheet!
