TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about obtaining an Ed visa in Koh Samui while currently on amnesty. Responses indicate that while it may be complicated due to COVID-19 regulations, it is still possible to secure an Ed visa until about September 26. Suggestions include enrolling in a recognized school to receive a temporary visa, but it's important to do so promptly and attend regularly to maintain visa validity.

Reserve your place at a recognised government licenced school under the ministry of education. Pay the semester fee and you will receive a temp under consideration ed visa. After 3 months of attendance it will be confirmed and as long as you attend regularly and make progress you won't have any issues.

If you don't attend the visa is cancelled.

U' ll have time no worry

Until 26 September, u can apply ed

But my advice, don't wait more

Find some school and apply it

Around 25K to 50K

I was about to get one all confirmed and backdated prior to amnesty... then they said the school is awaiting amnesty info and until announcement they won't accept any enrollements :(

What sort of visa you are on now may be important. Looks like you may have until Sept 20 or so to get it sorted out now.

Technically it would be impossible. I have tried, alone, several times at the immigration office and they have told me that the procedure is the same as before Covid, that is to leave the borders and return. It takes about 21 days to get the only letter from the Minister plus other weeks for the rest but now the I. O. they don't issue visas Ed. If you contact the agencies, instead they will tell you that it is possible and that they do it in 7-14 days. I don't know if the visa is valid though. They asked me from 25K up to 98K. Two tried to scam me. You can try to contact the schools. It's better
