Went through this last month. It does not matter any sort of background. They are basically blank denying any sort of B2 visa. My wife is almost in exact same situation, worked at hospital and we have business etc. Lady didn't even look at paperwork and just denied her.

Just did this. My marriage visa lapsed due to having to travel last minute back to the US. Came in on the exempt 60 days and they gave me a bit of crap. I'm glad they are clamping down on it though

Ya. I think Thailand is actually pretty straightforward and does really well in their immigration and visa system. Try getting a thai wife to a western country.... you will experience true retardism haha
